The 76th Independence Day event of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka was held on February 4, 2024, at the Manmunai North Divisional Secretariat under the leadership of Divisional Secretary V. Vasudevan under the theme "Let's Build A New Country".
During this event, the National Flag was hoisted by the Divisional Secretary, and the National Anthem was played, followed by the planting of plants.
