Divisional Secretariat - Manmunai North Batticaloa

The Annual Thai Pongal Vizha for the Manmunai North Divisional Secretariat was held on January 24, 2025, at the office premises.  

The Duty Assuming Ceremony for the New Year 2025 was held on the 1st of January 2025 at Manmunai North Divisional Secretariat, headed by Divisional Secretary Mr. V. Vasuthevan, under the theme of Clean Sri Lanka, in conjunction with the national program.

The program began with the ritual of boiling milk, followed by the hoisting of the national flag and the playing of the national anthem. A silent tribute was also paid to those who sacrificed their lives for the country, followed by the oath of service taken by all the officers.

It is also noteworthy that all the officers of the Divisional Secretariat also participated in the national event launching the Clean Sri Lanka program, which was broadcast from the Presidential Secretariat.

The Discussion on "Clean Srilanka" Project  was held on 20th of January 2025 at Manmunai North Divisional Secretariat, headed by Divisional Secretary Mr. V. Vasuthevan, under the theme of Clean Sri Lanka "Beautiful Island,Smiling People".

During the meeting, the officials were made aware of the main aspects of the 'Clean Sri Lanka' project such as environmental sustainability, social skill development, governance sustainability and economic sustainability and the goals and actions to achieve them. 

The Divisional Secretary also requested all the public officers to work efficiently and dedicatedly to fulfill the objectives of the public.Staff Officers of Divisional Secretariats, Heads of Branches and other officials participated in this discussion.

The farewell function for Mrs. J. Ganeshamoorthy, who is currently serving as the Deputy Director of Planning at the Manmunai North Divisional Secretariat and will be promoted to the post of Planning Director, was organized by the Manmunai North Divisional Secretariat Staff Welfare Association on December 30, 2024, at the Derba Hall.
